Is the lowest chemical dose always the least expensive?

Not necessarily. An insufficient dose can lead to poorer separation, more sludge handling, product loss or extra downstream treatment. Assess total process cost.

How many samples are needed for product selection?

Do not test only one favourable moment. Take samples representing normal production, peak loading and relevant product changes.

Can automatic control help with variable loading?

Yes, when a reliable input parameter is available and the dosing response has been validated. Automation without a sound process relationship mainly automates the deviation.
